ABOUT THE PROJECT

When Lightning Lab, Icehouse and Slipstream Media first collaborated to live stream Demo Day in September 2015 for nine local Tech start ups from the Spark Building in Auckland, the 400 or so investors watching the pitches at the venue were joined by another 500 globally online. That in itself brought huge ROI to the partners, but more generally showed yet another application for live streaming technology in which Slipstream has lead the way in NZ.

In this event the second such collaboration with Lightning Lab, this time from Wellington, similiar results were reached as Slipstream filmed, encoded and delivered live this unique presentation of tech products across the globe.

Lightning Lab has now worked with 123 entrepreneurs across 45 startups, who collectively have raised over $11M on Demo Day. Live streaming of the pitches has become an important part of the exposure of the products to potential investors.
